International FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) Awareness Day
Bells are rung at 9:09 a.m. to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking during
pregnancy and to the plight of individuals and families who struggle with FASD. This day was chosen (9/9/09) so the world will remember that a woman should abstain from alcohol during the nine months of pregnancy.
